Field & Forest Programs 2017-18

Field & Forest Outdoor Preschool
A completely outdoor program designed for Preschool age children

Field & Forest Outdoor Preschool offers a unique program based on the German Forest Garden approach for children ages 3-5. The preschool experience encourages and inspires children through positive outdoor experiences. and meets late September through May.

Morning sessions, which meet 8:45 am to 11:45 am, are flexible to your child's schedule - sign up for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 morning sessions!  Afternoon sessions are offered as a set of three days, meeting Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons 1:15 to 3:15 pm.

The afternoon Preschool Program is not designed to be combined with the morning sessions on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday mornings, but may be combined with any program on Thursday or Friday.

At Field & Forest Outdoor Preschool, children participate in engaging and motivating tasks and activities in an outdoor environment. These experiences allow children opportunities to develop intrinsic motivation, and grow both emotionally and socially.

Budding Naturalists
Field & Forest's outdoor program designed for Primary age children.

A completely outdoor program designed for Primary children ages 5 to 7, meeting late September through May on Thursday afternoons, 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

Each day includes discovery-based science and nature awareness, hands-on complex constructions and community building. Children build shelters, journal about discoveries and ideas, play, tell stories, read books, learn about fire safety, and track animals, with nature as their classroom. Teachers support children's interests, autonomy and community.

Field & Forest's outdoor program designed for children 8 to 12.
A completely outdoor program designed for children ages 8 to 12, meeting Thursday mornings for 10 weeks this Fall, 9 am to noon. 

Develop your essential nature skills including 
fire building and use, rope making and knot tying, shelter making, tracking work, plant usage and identification.  Fully outdoors on our wonderful site with varied eco-systems to explore.

Complete an Enrollment Application save and email to or print 
application and mail to The Attic, Field & Forest Admissions, PO Box 1668, Woodinville, WA 98072.  Please also mail non-refundable enrollment fee at time of application to the Attic Learning Community. 


Please be aware that certain browsers may not save your completed form.  Please be sure to print a copy of your completed application for your records.

Are you an Attic enrolled family?  If so, please use the Treehouse site for additional Field & Forest optional programs open to you!

Tuition Assistance
